This record player was designed as part of Braun's slim-line sound system series, in which all products were given a height of only 65mm, not including the dust cover. The device featured a touch-sensitive tonearm operator; by placing a finger in the indentations in the platter, the tonerarm is activated and, when turning the platter in either direction, the tonearm follows accordingly. This feature introduced a novel form of user interaction with the device.
