200-B

Integrated tube amplifier
2 x 15W
Year : 1963

The Scott 200-B is renowned for its detailed, warm and balanced sound, although its relatively low power makes it less suitable for speakers that require a lot of power. The bass is round, the mids are rich, and the highs remain smooth, which is characteristic of tube circuits.

Its low distortion level, combined with very good linearity, makes it an ideal amplifier for genres such as jazz, classical or acoustic pieces.

Tubes used: 4 x 6GW8 (ECL86) power tubes, which combine a preamplifier and a power stage in a single tube. Preamplifier with 12AX7 tubes. Solid-state rectifier.

Frequency response: 20Hz to 15kHz
Total harmonic distortion: 0.8%
